Hi,

I would like to run one of the Sulzers loaned to the SReg. and I admit that I missed the excellent early Sulzer models from Sutton, which leaves me with a problem as I have absolutely no experience or knowledge of an alternative. All I can find is the Bachmann 32-426 version. but therein lies a problem - are all Bachmann 24s equal and is the model below one to be avoided?

I realise that this is an earlier version wwith 8-pin DCC but I run analogue - that is limit of my knowledge.

Hi, thanks for your help.

The full list of green Bachmann class 24s produced  :

32-425V D5000 (21-pin) c2013	Invicta Models LE

32-426 D5054 (8-pin) c2001

32-430 D5033 (21-pin)	c2007

32-430A D5030 (21-pin)	c2010

32-430B D5061 (21-pin) c2012

All green with no yellow panels, except 32-425V which also has bodyside lining unique to D5000.

The later 21-pin models have lights, and are preferrable in my view.

Hi,

Are they mechanically better or just the provision of a 21-socket?

Thank you for answering, much appreciated.

Cheers

These chassis’ are unchanged mechanically. It’s one of the best and most reliable running chassis, apart from the DCC additions I do not think it’s changed in roughly 18 years

Thanks for that, I guess they date therefore to when the Modelzone shops folded and Invicta took over their Ltd Ed commissions, which was around late 2013 to early 2014.
