Red Oxide Paint.

Recommended Posts

Can anybody give me some suggestions please as to the best type of red oxide to use on structures/buildings/rolling stock etc.... I'm painting some plate girders on a lift bridge and they ideally need a base coat before applying the main colour. Any hints and tips will be most welcomed. Thanks.

Mick,

I've just looked on their website and it comes up in three formats, all tinned. Do you know if they do it in a spray at all? I'll go over to Great Yarmouth in the morning and get what I need.

This is what you're looking for...

Gives a very pleasant bauxite

Bear in mind that most Halfords are opening on a click and collect basis only
