Steamport Southport
Is this the old Triang version reissued numerous times by Hornby? They are on the Lendons website. http://www.lendonsmodelshop.co.uk/?button=button2&servicesheets=none http://www.lendonsmodelshop.co.uk/pdf/Hornby Service Sheets/No.040 Rocket R651S.pdf And the Hornby Guide. http://www.hornbyguide.com/item_details.asp?itemid=899 Jason
kernowtim
It's a new model, not related to the Tri-ang one. Still waiting for my one to arrive!
yelrow
I think it s the first Hornby one. Says on the box, Times/Experience Its the set with the special wheels, limited edition. I looked on Lendons, but could not pin it down. Its all in French on box, so european edition. Its been boxed for many years, so just wanted to lubricate/ service. yelrow
More info, 1963, same set on Ebay, item no 293569217610 £479.99. Again, no model no. French number X413, but does not exist. At 145, euros, i appear to have got something, a tad rare.

The Hornby one isn't in that colour box though. It's red with Triang Hornby on it. I'm looking at one. I've a feeling the gold colour ones were for Rocket 150. I'm afraid this is all you will get. You didn't tend to get much instructions. You probably got a basic instruction sheet with a lubrication diagram. Probably just the one you got in every other model at the time. http://www.lendonsmodelshop.co.uk/pdf/Hornby Service Sheets/No.040 Rocket R651S.pdf http://www.lendonsmodelshop.co.uk/pdf/Hornby Service Sheets/No.041 Motor X500.pdf Jason
yelrow
Jason, Thank you muchly. Can you say more about rocket 150, as all this very new to me. Where does X 413 come into the equation, which is the set number.
