Class 158 productions
Glad Hornby seem to be making reparations for the mistake, was this an issue with the tampo printing/printer or Was Hornbys artwork incorrect? Cheers

Cheers I'd expect that it was printing, whilst they have made errors on the set I'd be amazed if they made them droopy on purpose. Also I think there is some inconsistency on the error itself, whilst it seems to be on all of them some look worse than others. I wrote to Hornby a few weeks ago and had a reply stating they were looking into the issue but that no resolution had been decided upon with no mention of replacement bodies. shunny
I requested mine through local shop same as body for recent construction class 60 so both ways are an option but shop had to request them via Hornby rep. Is this an aitch vs. haitch thing? It's not a speech defect, it's a regional difference in pronunciation. Flat vowels bother me more, but that's just because I'm a southern pansy. But this has just led be to appreciate, as a kettle man, how beautiful the HST really is. I'm glad that I have Hornby's FGW 125 (R2812) with dynamic lines carriages. It makes a truly eye-catching train.
hmrspaul
I have added further photos of this train to my website, they are taken from a bridge so show different views to my earlier ones. They also include a different power car - 43013 and an additional coach 977995. https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/nmrtrain Paul
martin_l_jones
Apparently the latest batch of NMT Trains packs to hit the shops have the printing error corrected.

The rep advised Hornby had decided to produce new bodies but production slot was still being arrange and he could not give a date, there are more Scotrail hst's due this year so maybe done around this time although they are not the buffered version that are in NR yellow. Class 158 productions
There is the buffered IC pair, says November so more likely the new year? Edited September 27, 2020 by Class 158 productions

martin_l_jones
But I've been told by a model shop that the new stock of the train packs they have has been corrected for the error. My email also said available in November, maybe they are early ?

I would expect mid production Hornby realised the problem and corrected it, but before we complained and therefore before they reacted to us. There was the situation where Hornby said "here in 2 weeks" "Postponed" "Here" All in the space of a fortnight IIRC. Could have been to do with this. martin_l_jones
The corrected bodies are being despatched by Hornby this week to customers who have requested replacements. Presume they will also be shipped out to retailers at the same time.

bart2day
Same here. I look forward to seeing how easy they are to fit. I, perhaps somewhat optimistically, told them I could do it myself.

TomScrut
One replacement turned up today, 43014. Does anybody know if they have replaced both (I'm sure both have the issue) and I'll get another in due course or whether they did just one?
