Jackie K
There has been a lot of interest in having a ‘virtual’ O gauge show especially because the Covid 19 restrictions have resulted in many exhibitions being cancelled. Regardless of whether Guildex 2020 goes ahead or not, the Gauge O Guild Events Team, together with some of our website IT experts are planning to pilot a virtual exhibition on Saturday 31st October 2020. This is currently in the planning stages and details about what will be included in the day will be available soon but meantime, visit the Gauge O Guild website for more information: https://www.gaugeoguild.com/news/news_details.aspx?id=2840

RMweb Gold GWR57xx Posted November 4, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 4, 2020 I thought this was a really excellent exhibition. I usually wouldn’t be able to view so many demonstrations and see them all the way through as there is usually only room for 2 or 3 people to watch at a “live” exhibition, and too many other things to see. This way I was able to watch all the demonstrations in their entirety, in comfort and with a cup of tea, and without being bumped or hassled for staying in the same spot for hours on end! It was also great to be able to see layouts that I would otherwise never be able to see because they aren’t on the exhibition circuit. Thanks to everyone who put so much effort into putting this together to keep us all entertained during this awful period.
Jackie K
With the 28 days of lock down starting yesterday, I have been asked by quite a few people, if the Gauge O Guild (GOG) virtual show content can stay on the GOG Website until 30th November . This will enable visitors to view it at leisure, recap on demonstration tips and look at the layouts again to provide inspiration for all the modelling that will happen again over the next 28 days. This extension to viewing has been agreed. It does not interfere with the website function or speed because in effect, the website is acting as a navigation platform and the bulk of the content (videos, and Zoom recordings) are held on the Gauge O Guild YouTube site playlist. I am finalising the feedback and statistics but to aid on-going analysis of your comments, please use the Feedback form within the show. This was our first 'Virtual Show' and your views will inform future virtual events It can be accessed at the bottom of each page in the show. Just visit the front page of our website. https://www.gaugeoguild.com/ Thank you Jackie
