Thanks very much, not sure what's happened to the colours on the upload to here. They look a bit on on my computer on here but the photos look ok when looking at the file! Karl
Well with Lockdown upon us another weekend of kit building sees the next box file start to take some shape, although final building arrangement is to be determined. Needs lots of weathering plus the other obvious omissions currently! But that will all have to wait until after the working week.

I think because they can be 'finished' they are potentially worryingly addictive... But the confined space really makes you think about it and arranging things in a logical way. I had wanted a third line on the shed to put the coal loader on for example but it just didn't work. So had to re-think as I really want the loader in as a landmark feature. They're just good fun, especially given the current situation. 1

I assume you mean the warehouses. No they are not scratch built they are jsmodels.co.uk kits with the jsmodel wall pareses and Peco downpipes added to them. I can't recommend the kits enough, they are very easy to build. I'd never used laser cut wood before and these just clicked together.

During a break from work a few photos in the sun earlier. Please forgive the bland background, I imagine it'll be the weekend before I do the back scene. 7

Karl
Another night down the shed with the first diesel making an appearance. The Ivatt is making a brief appearance before being weathered simply as I was pleased with how the work to make a red numberplate came out.

coline33
What a lovely quay layout, Karl. Very nice how its operation can be changed anytime to suit what stock you want to use without changing the buildings/backscene. Those shed night shots are incredible. So you must be the one who wants lockdown to continue in waves!!!

The wharf and shed boxfiles have been built in the most recent lockdown, I built the dock in the year up to lockdown really. I'm actually someone whose not stopped working throughout the whole situation as I am in construction so the boxfiles have been a distraction at weekends, I consider myself to have been lucky actually to have not stopped all things considered. Looking across the forum modelling has been doing brilliantly over the period and we're lucky to have such an engaging and creative hobby I think.
