vulcanbomber
I want to add some activity into this area of the Gasworks and as a starting point would like to add a suitable vehicle. Has anyone any suggestions for the year 1936 that would be appropriate? By the way the picture looks a lot better on my phone
RMweb Premium petethemole Posted June 18, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 18, 2020 The manager's car, such a the Oxford Diecast Morris Eight (it appears to be a very small gasworks). A truck from a local coal merchant picking up coke. My first thought was a flatbed, but they would be more likely to collect bulk coke in a high-sided dropside or tipper. Alternatively a flatbed belonging to the Gas company carrying bagged coke. The Oxford tricycle van, available in a gas & coke related finish.
Sotto
A couple of bicycles? Bound to be some employees arriving by bike.
vulcanbomber
I like the idea of the tricycle and the manager's car unfortunately the Morris eight is 1938 although a Morris seven would do. I will probably do a bikes plus a rack as well
