bridgiesimon
Have now have access to use a 'Monoprice Mini Delta' 3D printer. I am using it today for the first time. The pre-installed test print went really well and was delighted but each time I try to print something I have downloaded, the nozzle head goes off the side of the print bed and tries to print there. Anyone know what I am doing wrong and hoe to help me sort it out? Getting VERY frustrated!! Best wishes Simon
RMweb Gold Fen End Pit Posted June 18, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 18, 2020 sounds like your slicer isn't set to have the right size of printer. Your preinstalled test will have been sliced using different settings. looks like you need to check the profile of the printer in your slicer. bridgiesimon
think I have sorted it, the setting had a stoopid height for the gantry height, reset that and fingers crossed, it is now playing ball. Thanks for the advice. Best wishes Simon
Pete the Elaner
I went through a learning curve with my laser cutter & my 3d printer. Soon after getting each one, I wondered if I had just thrown my money away. Since getting to grips with them, both have proved invaluable & have become extra methods for making the bespoke parts I want for the layout. I find it surprising to see how quickly my library of items has grown. What I was initially doing wrong seems so obvious now. Persevere. I am sure you will find it useful. 1
