I have a two year old thread on a layout a friend and I are building in his garden shed.  The shed layout contains a twin track helix that I obtained second hand from another friend.

The helix came with a very robust base that we didn’t need in the shed and this base (which splits into four sections) has been cluttering up the hallway at home for some time.

I have been pondering various small layout options for this base and have finalised a roundy roundy plan that will serve as a test track and a leading palette for the track ballasting and scenic work to come in the shed.

Cheers

This is the proposed track plan.  The intention is to use Peco Streamline Code 75 track and build up the track bed and scenery using expanded polystyrene blocks.

Some of you may be able to identify the actual locations that inspired this plan.

The first step will be to get some Code 75 track and see what will fit with the track laid temporarily on the baseboard.

Cheers
