NIK
Hi, The club layout I help out with: Beggarwood Lane has a non electrified spur leading to the West London Line. The spur is a dead end at present and has no space for a run round loop. What DMUs used the West London Line over the years?. Did 3 car Class 117s in Blue Grey ever run on the line?. Many Thanks. RMweb Gold Metr0Land Posted June 24, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted June 24, 2020 (edited) Am not aware of 117's. 3 car Thumpers (205 and 207 I believe) worked Clapham Junction-Olympia shuttles in blue-grey and for 1 summer season only (1991 I think 1990 see below) 2 car 101's in blue-grey worked the shuttles. Simon Bendall
If you search on Flickr with 'Class 117 Olympia' that returns a number of images of two-car 117s on the Kenny Belle during the mid 90s in the North London Railways era. Hi Simon, Many thanks. Did Class 117s ever use the West London Line when they were still in Blue Grey?. Regards Nick

Regards Nick As a sweeping statement, the London allocation of Class 117s typically gained NSE livery while still plying the lines out of Paddington as three car sets. When the Class 165s appeared in 1991/92 ish, they were displaced and some 117s reduced to power twin sets. So, unlikely to have ventured along the West London line in Blue Grey, unless there was an odd occasion. Happy to be proved wrong on this...

Hi, Gatwick to Reading services were sometimes diverted via the West London Line. Maybe a Class 117 deputised for a Class 119 on such a working during the Blue Grey livery period.
