Well that's it

Two  van number prefixes and a brake lever added today and alcohol has stopped play at SM42 Towers.

The champagne is out as I celebrate (?)  being a year older.

More importantly cake has been supplied by our cake making friend.

I may be gone some time

Have a great day (what's left of it).

Someone else celebrates her birthday tomorrow.

Georgie is supplying the cake.  I cannot be trusted with trying to keep anything I bake for more than the time it takes to get it out of the oven.

I have made her a card:

Thank you all

Still awaiting cake.

I've seen the cake box.  Might have to build a layout in it later :D

Aged 10.5 in celsius, actually that's about right.

Hippo i hope you going to show us photos of Georgies creation.

Has she started with Cherish Finedon yet?

I'll try and get a picture.

This is one she did for an ardent Wolves fan:

She is supposed to be starting with CF next month, but until they sort out places reopening, it's all on hold at present.

Happy birthday Andy. I think you may be a bit close to the Muddy Hollow to go advertising a cake like that - be careful!

I managed a bit of workshop time this weekend but was distracted by the rugby - yesterday's two 6 nation  results :), today's , Leicester v Quins  so overall a mixed bag. Still, I suppose you can't have everything.

The steak dinner with champagne (well, OK, Prosecco) in keeping with the date beckons so goodnight all.

A bit of a random photo for most on here, but it is for our resident Polar Bear to assure him my garden railway trains do not have to jump yawning chasms.....but there are bridges that are placed into the gaps on running days.  Oh look, sun and blue sky, remember that?

I was looking into getting a BEV and as my bank account will not stretch to a new one I looked at the second hand ones. I was surprised at how cheap they were  but all of the cheapest ones had the caveat 'requires new batteries'. New batteries can cost between £2,000 to £5,000 depending on make and model.

Bear did read that dealers were not keen on taking in leccy cars for fear of getting caught out and having to fit new batteries; as a consequence they either don't want them as a trade-in or when they do they offer silly low prices.

Happy birthday to Nyda.  I hope that you've gotva track from Sgt Pepper on repeat.

Jamie

When that tune was first about I really thought it was ‘when I’m six feet four”.

You are nearly 6ft 4 aren't you?

5ft 11 3/4. Though plenty of people at least 2 inches shorter claim to be six foot tall.
Aditi claims to be 5 foot tall but that probably is a very slight exaggeration.
