Failed Model Railway Product Ideas

Hmm.

Many years ago, back in the 70s or 80s I think, one of the model railway magazines had an April issue which featured a London Underground layout which had allegedly been installed beneath the floor of the layout room; stations were claimed to be visible through perspex panels in the floor but you had to take the carpet up.  You could model the Channel Tunnel or St Gotthard Base on a similar basis...

Pure fiction, but.......

A brain-storming session somewhere in the world of model Railways....

"I know! Lets announce a model, and bring it out on time, and under the advertised RRP!

"Don't be daft, you stupid boy! That'll never work!

Names, places & underpants changed to protect the innocent......

There was a miniature railway engineer who got into model railways but thought it would make things easier if everyone used a different scale for their track than for their models. Needless to say, such a daft idea never caught on but I have heard rumours that a few modellers in one country actually tried to do it.

INCOMING!!!
