woodyfox Posted July 8, 2020 Share Posted July 8, 2020 Hi, Thought I'd start a new thread on my 7mm shenanigans. I've got a string of projects to keep me busy. Three nearing completion are a BigBig Train Blue Flier conversion to a Beyer-Peacock type 3 Hymek (early variant). A DJH Brush type 2 Class 31 'skinhead' and a Slater's kit of a 1/506 Brake to B950952 in mid to late 70's condition. The Hymek uses the PRMRP conversion. The base blue flier is a decent body mould to start but i felt the cab front windows were too big and the cab roof arc was too shallow. I used styrene sheet and plenty of filler to correct both. It was quite a effort but I'm pleased with the results. I've also scratched together some headcode blinds. The PRMRP kit is good and only extra stuff like pipe runs on the fuel group and bogies, cab desks, roof loops and headcodes need sourcing. I also added a few filler and drain cocks/valves as well.
