Squirrel Rail
Lot of prep work going fitting nameplates, detail packs etc so hence there hasn’t been many pics. Penny Black is ready for weathering and started the rough work on the 71,842 and the 24. As these go through the weathering process I’ll post more pics..
Squirrel Rail
Started the airbrush work on the weathering this morning, base colours on so these now need to harden up before next lot of paint. first up is the 24, pics show it with fairly clean body sides and roof centres but the blues disappeared over the cabs and roof centre likewise 842 nothing too heavy on this one unlike 50004 which is going to be well grotty lastly it wouldn’t be right not to have a 90 on here so Penny Blacks began its weathering. that will be it for the day as off to the dentist now for the joy of having a tooth out- at least ( he hopes) it will get rid of this damn toothache!
DavidMcKenzie
Have very much enjoyed reading this thread start to finish. Some incredible modelling and the class 90s are the best I've ever seen. Keep up the great work. All the best, Dave 2

I would rather improve them that strip a brand new model.

The Hornby 86 isn't too bad at all with some work, I did a couple last year and they don't look too bad - wish someone would make an etched headcode panel though! Happy spraying, cheers Jerry
Squirrel Rail
A busy morning on the workbench with weathering starting on 40106, at this point some of the wash is still wet so hence the streaky sides. The finishing touches to three of the BR blue contingent were added today and a quick photo session - I would have taken some on Squirrels End stabling point but it is awaiting the OHLE repair team following an attack by a granddaughter First up the DJ models 71, I love these as they just look sooo retro: Next up 24077, shame Bachmann fitted the worlds thickest buffer heads.... Last of the blue trio 842, Last completion of the morning was another 90019 which will be on its way back home tomorrow

Squirrel Rail
Long time at the dentist today so not much train work today. Did manage to get some work done on the western though... And from the other side..
Squirrel Rail
Three more completions today, first up Dapol Western 1048, Shawplan plates and a weathering and light fade and from the other side next up another Paddington regular, not quite as glamorous but great fun and a really nice model. Drivers and passengers added and renunbered following by a weather. Couldn’t get a pic of all three together so here’s a driving car and the centre car. last one of the day 33116 15

Squirrel Rail
Couldn’t resist just getting a head start on 40022 before calling it a day. 40106 is in its state when withdrawn and dumped alongside Crewe diesel-Can’t beat a good old EE product to play with
