Squirrel Rail
Latest 90 to reach the paint shops has just received its primer and is awaiting a coat of DRS blue in the next couple of days. Lurking behind it is it's misbehaving sibling that if it messes me around much more may not get a new livery but could just beat 050 to the cutters torch

A couple of pics to show so far and from the other side That does look good Jerry, and thanks for your reply, its given me the urge to finish my 58016, although looking at it, I put it off as replacing thats handrail stancions is a pain!

Good luck with it- the handrails aren’t too bad to do I just drill out the holes slightly and they go on fine. Always fun to do a 58 as they were so filthy! Although I’m billy three colours .....roof dirt, frame dirt and flat black. It’s better than bare plastic, bit in no way up to your sort of standard !

Squirrel Rail
On the subject of weathering I’ve got this 50 to do. It has been de-nunbered and some of the weathering removed by someone else but still has a few patches to do before it gets remembered and hopefully a better weathering job! mans where it hasn’t been touched.....,:awkward and a horrible colour!

Squirrel Rail
50043 has now had it's proper weathering and is looking a lot better than the factory option.... and from the other side... The other paint this afternoon is my pain in the a**e 90 shell which I was debating doing Anglia one livery but following a suggestion and pic on the 90 forum is going to become freightliner green 046 without the branding on the bodysides. The yellow was done yesterday so break out the green today! 10

BelsteadLane
90046 will be an interesting one Jerry! It ran lacking its smaller bodyside logo between 2007 - 2014. I was surprised at how long it did as I only thought it had been a couple of years! The annoying thing with the Freightliner Racing Green 90s is that the Freightliner logo on the fronts are larger than the ones on the sides of the cab. Not sure if we’ve talked about this already over PM, it just makes it awkward as there’s no decals available (yet) that are actually the correct size! I’ll be contacting railtec eventually as I’d like to have all three of the racing green skodas but I can’t be having them wrong! If you’re in a hurry to shift it, might be worth contacting precision labels and get him to make up the correct decals - if you want them too be correct that is! 2

Hi Jack, I had put on the 90 forum that there is a lack of decals out there for racing green so will look at getting some done for it. This one is most likely staying with me as it was the shell that reacted to the paint stripper- I got very close to scrapping it but persevered But it will remain one I’m not 100% happy with so hence there’s no hurry on it and I can measure up all the decals to get it right! Ps 90034 is coming along nicely so some more updates tonight or tomorrow, cheers Jerry
Squirrel Rail
90034 has now had the cant rails added and a coat of satin varnish so it can harden off for a day or so before the next stages:- yet again the light in the pic is playing tricks - it is blue not purple!!!

Hi Ben, I think I just beat you to the paint but had to chuckle when I saw you had one too! Mine wasn't going to be Freightliner originally as it was a spare shell and I couldn't decide what to do with it but someone suggested it on the 90 forum. It's going to be 046 without the bodyside branding.... when I eventually get round to it. Happy painting Cheers Jerry
