Two other projects which haven’t been seen recently are the 56 and bubble car which have moved on quite a bit from their BR blue. Next on the bubble is the  white line to go on between the blue grey then the windows can go back in and start getting it back together

The 56 has had all its paint apart from handrails so can start putting it back together this week too.

Top notch work on those stunning 90s as per usual Jerry! Makes me want another one but I’m being good!

Thanks Jack, I really like the blue, DRS or GNER, another livery ticked off the list! Cheers Jerry

Great work on the 90’s Jerry.

What LL 56 are you doing? The cant rail grills are throwing me off.

Hi Andy, It’s 057 British Fuels in its preserved state so no orange cant rail which makes a nice change! Cheers Jerry

New week new projects. Eight MPV cabs to repaint and a 150 so most of today spent stripping these down and then preparing them for primer, a quick before and after

much rubbing down later...

The other new project is the Accurascale JUA's where todays task was starting to tone them down a bit with some general washes before getting into the airbrush and detail work. Here's a lovely shiny new one fresh out the box with those behind having had their first wash..

and here's the rest amongst the general but ordered chaos of Squirrel Rail assembly area with the rest of the current projects loitering....IMG_3493.jpg.acc4df3b248528a953d0986e6ef96ed4.jpg

Recovering from root filling so not much activity. Masked up the MPV cabs, fiddly little swine and then got a coat of primer on them.

With the remaining energy I started the airbrush work on the JUA's with the first passes of oxide, rust and frame dirt, the loads are getting the treatment too! These will now sit and dry for a couple of days;

56057 has been put back together named and numbers. The replacement headlight and cut handrails make the front look quite different

More great work! These look excellent! Looking forward to seeing how the LM 150 turns out too. Always been tempted by one in that livery.

Hi Tom, Just had a peek at your Flickr site, cracking photo's on there, certainly going to use some of them for inspiration! Cheers Jerry

Very nice Jerry! Awesome work sir. Love the 90s in situ on the container terminal!

Are you doing the NRN pod for the roof of 37057?

Kind regards,

Will

Hi Will,

The roof mods are out of the remit on this one, it was just the paint job!

Cheers Jerry

A Western in Foster Yeoman?! I find other people's 'what ifs' fascinating - in a good way! The creativity and inspiration.

Really looking forward to seeing how it turns out, it looks magnificent so far.

Great stuff !

when you do EWS do you do all over red , then spray  gold  band on it or vice versa please ?

Hi Rob,

I spray the EWS red first and then the gold. I'm using the phoenix paints which has a good coverage so it's not a problem.  Railmatch is exactly the same but as our local stockist closed haven't used it for a while but you shouldn't have any problems,

Cheers Jerry

After the wagons lots of odds and ends so not much excitement but unpacked my 20s I got yesterday - look very nice.....will hang onto these for a while before I make up my mind what to do with them.

The other job this afternoon was sound fitting two Heljan 47s and a Bachmann 37, one of the duffs is 47636 which I did a long time ago for a customer before the Kernow version and it's still one of my favourites so couldn't resist a couple of pics of it.

Thanks very much Jerry! They're all fairly similar at the moment but hopefully will be able to get further afield soon. Fingers crossed Revolution releases their Drax wagons in OO.

Lots of primer this morning so again not very exciting but gives an idea of what’s coming up next. The two 60s are going into DCR grey, the 31is an old BR blue shell that came from an exploding chassis and had cracked the corners. I’ve repaired it but will see if it’s good enough when the yellow is on. The 57 at the back is a shell I got from Flea Bay so it’s a guinea pig for some mods. The Western is the What If Yeoman about to get it ms yellow panels. Last of the group is a customer 90 that had some damage which he has repaired so primer on before a bit more rubbing down and the more primer.3A4F60F1-E5D0-42FF-9560-16CF9E15FEE0.jpeg.bc025b1b0f881098dced375419283636.jpeg

As a change from grey the London midland 150 has had its green ends added.

Hopefully this week I will get a nameplate and decal delivery as things are backing up!
