Claycrossjunction
I own a few find them alright been on a small budget I can afford them true I do save up for the odd special model made by other manufacturers. Never seen them for sale in models shops in my area so I buy them online from Amazon been in the lower price range they are ideal for the younger modeller's who have no chance in buying most models or items from other manufacturers due to the high prices. I have Baltimore and Ohio loco brought second hand she runs just as good has another non Mehano model so does anyone on here collect them?
TEAMYAKIMA
I used to sell them for a living 25-30 years ago and they were very, very basic, but people collect all sorts of things, for all sorts of reasons> Are they still in business?
steve1
Mehano are very much still in business. --> http://www.mehano.si/en I have 3 of their HO diesel locos, 2 Vossloh G2000s, both the symmetrical and the asymmetrical versions and a JT42CWR (CLass 66 in English). All of them are superb models, highly detailed and excellent runners. I haven't collected them but ran them on my last German layout and they will appear on my next one too. steve
Southernman46
I have these from their SNCB range ............................ nicely built & detailed & all run well without problems The Class 51 & Class 26 aren't done RTR by any other manufacturer - another tick for Mehano.
RMweb Premium Legend Posted July 15, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 15, 2020 Sams trains on YouTube has been reviewing a very cheap freight set and more recently a TGV Duplex unit in Ouigo livery . Generally the reviews are positive as in being good value for money but obviously sometime lacking in detail . He was a little less impressed with the TGV as the intermediate articulated coach had some derailing issues and I think the power car had been over greased causing it pick up problems .Both were resolved though. Generally they seem to be reasonable for the price . Had a quick look to see what they do and as well as TGV standard and duplex they do an ICE 3 as well . Can't see additional intermediate coaches though .
