Rob.
Looking for 'modern' cars (Year 2000+) for a layout (UK / lrish). Seem difficult to locate as most are vintage / 70's & 80's etc. Any help would be welcome!
sandwich station
Take a look at Oxford Diecast on Hatton's website, there are a few there but not many.
RJS1977
The other difficulty is a lot of model cars are the high performance type vehicles rather than the more general versions. I wonder if the reason for a lack of post-2000 vehicles is down to licensing rights? Although I know the BMW MINI has been done.
Rob.
Yeah, it is impossible to get any type of 'standard' VW Passat/Golf, Ford Focus etc. There must be some reason
RJS1977
Looking at Hattons, the 'modern' Oxford range seems to be: Astons Bentleys (including one VERY exclusive model!) Jags Range Rovers/Discos Audis BMWs (including MINI)

ianmacc
Cararama made a few Non-performance versions of everyday vehicles at about 1/72 including the 2002 to 2008 vectra, Ford Fiesta c2005 model, Peugeot 206, Toyota RAV4, Volvo Coupes and estates, Saabs and others. Haven’t made new models since around 2008 so the vehicles are all around 10-15 year old prototypes now but great for the council estate or back alleys etc. Also this thread I started a couple of years ago Edited July 18, 2020 by ianmacc Link
