Removing waterslide decals in future

I'm about to put some Fox Transfers post '97 OHL flashes onto my newly born 5043 Castle.

How easy is it to refloat/remove these months/years down the line. Is there any damage to the paintwork from the decal glue once hardened?

 

I'm not planning on using microsol/set nor will they be sealed in with varnish.

 

Any advice before I put paper to soapy water?

If you are not varnishing over them  then you can normally remove them by covering them with sellotape, when removed it should remove the decal as well.

 

Alternatively, letting the decal stand in water should remove it after a while.

 

Either way there should not be any damage to the painted surface, as long as it is sound.
