So good John. It actually makes my head hurt looking at it.

Is that an N gauge 03 (asking for a friend, honest)?

Correct, a friend of mine couldnt get it to run so I sorted it and then thought I wonder....

Love your slice of Mid Devon know it so well from covering the area on a weekly basis back along doing delivery van drops

At a loose end so I took a few more tonight.

A DMU with a trailing van leaving Eggesford:

And then legging it non stop through Lapford a few minutes a later at full trickity-trock line speed…

That old bridge is going to rattle…

What about an Evan's or Gregory Artic as they are a both long standing North Devon hauliers... 1970's you'd need a Merc 1618 or Volvo F88

Yes, I’d love something like that but there just doesn’t seem to be anything around. Even something classic 1980s like a Scania 112 or a Volvo 10 Turbo 6.

How about a Leyland Eromatic cabed AEC, or Bedford TK  there where plenty of those running around into the late 70's BR blue and grey era

The last photograph certainly reminds me of Morchard Road, very nicely done.

Thanks to everyone who has posted on here.  If I can achieve half as much detail as the pictures on here I would be happy!

Hopefully I can get some modelling done soon, it will be something small and worth posting on here.  I can honestly say going through the106 pages I am left in awe!

A short running session featuring Hardy's Hobbies Bagnall 0-6-0ST edited with real sound.
Sounds are provided by a number of similar locomotives from my sound collection, captured at various Gala and Preserved Railways over the past few years.
Here we see Bagnall  0-6-0ST,  No. 3061 'Empress' working various trains around Somerdale Colliery.
Hope you enjoy!

My era is early 80s and I agree there is a distinct lack of commercial vehicles from that period available. The 70s are covered and mid/late 80s. For example vans, I wanted a BR Mk2 transit. I have settled for a couple of Mk1s and a commer. Although if your layout set in the late 70s that makes it a bit easier.

Steve

Be worth lobbying Oxford?

I havent checked the 4mm section but that is an era that plenty model and is thin on the ground.

I did have a H0 scale Volvo F10 back in the 80's built from a kit - Keil Kraft?
