Wire in Tube What 'tubing' do you use?

On my present layout I have very successfully controlled points with brass wire running through tube.Incredibly reliable system all in all. The tube in question is telephone wire with the wires removed (of course!) 

 

I bought it from Wilkos and I struggled at times to remove the wire from the sleeveing. What 'tube' do others use please that I could pass the brass wire through when I build my new layout?

Traditionally and originally copper tube. Now PTFE.

I used ABS tube from my local model shop.

Have a look at the Blue Point products imported by EDM Models. The operating unit has an over centre spring to hold the blades in place and the unit has all the electrical switching you need. There are lots of accessories including flexible inner and outer tube to operate the points.
