When  the Brightline passenger service was introduced three years ago on the West Palm Beach-Miami section of the Florida East Coast Railway, residents complained about the extra noise of the increased train service, so QZs were introduced. But only if the grade crossings could be made full barrier operation with radar protection of anything that got trapped inside the barriers.

It still didn't take very long for a few pedestrians to be wiped out as they nipped around the barriers and encountered the much quieter approaching trains...........

 

Then the locals complained about "killer trains" that should be suspended.
