I bought two cast resin model engines on ebay

They are made by Scalecast Models and sold on ebay by houseworkxxx54.

I painted them grey, one dark and the other light then weathered.

They are nicely cast and good detail.

Looks great. Almost worth buying a cheap Lima 201 for €50 to cut it open and place one of these engines in it as a static display in a loco works. Do you mind me asking where did you get accessories such as the mechanic figures, hoists and working platform? The whole ensemble looks great.

Thanks Noel,

all the accessories are from Bachmann and the platform was an brass etch from Ten Commandments, it was very fine brass, so i put solder on both sides of each piece to make it

stronger.

Fairly convincing. The V8 would not look out of place in a small GM or B201, the straight 6 in a B101 Sulzer

NIR ENGLISH ELECTRIC 060 SHUNTER No 1.

I have been building the NIR EE shunter No1 for a couple of years, on and off.

So I decided to get the glazing done and that would be it finished.

I bought a second hand 04 shunter motor chassis and then built the body with plastic.

I would like to thank Kirley for his help with picture and measurements which was a big help.

Here are some pics of the construction.
