Hi, 

We have a Bachmann 39-420W TPO without nets and also a later Bachmann version with nets (39-421 we think). Does anyone know if apart from the nets there are any differences between the vehicles that would mean if we renumber the 39-420W one into a 1961 version without nets It would not be historically inaccurate.

The Bachmann TPO sorting van is IIRC accurate for vehicles 80300 to 80305 inclusive. 80306 onwards are a different diagram.

Thanks for that Brushman47544, so 80310 which was built without nets would that be different to 80300-05 or is it only the ones with nets that were different. Thanks Fred

When built 80310 did not have the space in the bodyside for nets, when 80300-305 had their nets removed they still retained the space in the bodyside. To make the Bachmann model look something like 80310 you would need to find a way to fill that space in the bodyside.
