Ibertren chassis substitute for Parkside dundas kit

Recommended Posts

Hi all I recently got this Parkside Dundas ffestiniog railway Blanche kitDL03-PO_20200805_3591396_Qty1_box1.jpg.fc42392eccd69b56f705f3f564342b85.jpg

on the packaging it states that it's designed for an Ibertren 0-4-0 chassis, I was wondering if there's any substitutes I could use since it seems that Ibertren doesn't produce any 0-4-0s anymore and I can't find any second hand

thanks in advance

Can't remember the manufacturer's name for sure (may have been BranchLines), but there was an etched chassis kit produced called the "Hawk" which ISTR was intended as a substitute for the Ibertren. I did have some (I don't think that there are any left) and I thought that they looked rather difficult to put together. A high F factor as Allan Sibley puts it.

Edit: Have you seen this? https://dundasmodels.co.uk/webstore/index.php/chassis-guide
