Milthar
Hi all I recently got this Parkside Dundas ffestiniog railway Blanche kit on the packaging it states that it's designed for an Ibertren 0-4-0 chassis, I was wondering if there's any substitutes I could use since it seems that Ibertren doesn't produce any 0-4-0s anymore and I can't find any second hand thanks in advance
RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted August 29, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 29, 2020 (edited) Can't remember the manufacturer's name for sure (may have been BranchLines), but there was an etched chassis kit produced called the "Hawk" which ISTR was intended as a substitute for the Ibertren. I did have some (I don't think that there are any left) and I thought that they looked rather difficult to put together. A high F factor as Allan Sibley puts it. Edit: Have you seen this? https://dundasmodels.co.uk/webstore/index.php/chassis-guide Edited August 29, 2020 by Joseph_Pestell
Quarryscapes
Fleishcmann 0-4-0 chassis can be used, just requires a little trimming to the cab front where the motor sits. I did one yeas ago.
