MichaelE
Is there a mainstream manufacturer that provides Swiss structures specifically? Kibri offers a couple of Swiss stations on the RhB, and they are marked (CH) in the descriptions, but that is about all I have found specific to the RhB. There are also a couple of Swiss-looking Chalets by one manufacturer or another, but nothing really more specific. What are some of the structures you members have purchased for your RhB layouts? Do you have the catalog numbers too so I may look them up?
MOB FAN
https://www.laser-creation.net While I’m not very knowledgeable on all building offerings, I do know there are buildings made only for the Swiss market by major companies. Some digging on websites might find them.
bantam61668
Kibri do quite a few buildings suitable for a Swiss model some of the ones I have: 38015 – H0 House Maple in Davos 48816 House Casanna in Davos 48817 House Surselva in Davos 38021 Tourist office in Davos 38035 Gauge Barn and shed 38814 Swiss Barn 39495 set Walser village 38813 Antonius Chapel in Saas-Grund 38808 Farm building in Emmental 8056 Hotel Bären (not sure if still available) I'm sure the other major manufacturers Auhagen, Faller, Viessmann etc do suitable buildings too for example Faller 120279 H0 Bausatz Lokschuppen Filisur There is also a Dutch manufacturer Tilly who I have bought a couple of models from, they are very reasonably priced https://www.tillymodels.nl/categorieen/categorie/17-h0-zwitsers there is also Swiss one which is a bit more expensive https://www.mbapiro.ch/produkte.php?content_id=3 and if you really want to splash the cash there are some lovely buildings here https://www.nm-bahnen.ch/index.htm I also have a couple of wooden kits of RhB buildings made by Fides that I picked up cheap on ebay, I've not got round to making them so no idea what they are like but they seem to sell them here https://www.hobby-shop.ch/de/Fides.c427.2.html and a couple of other manufacturers https://eyro.ch/onlineshop/index.php?cPath=71 https://eyro.ch/onlineshop/index.php?cPath=71_206
37201xoIM
Yes, I've done the Faller laser-cut models of Litirüti station and the small goods shed from Langwies (both on the Arosa line), and they were easy to make and look, in my opinion, really attractive. MichaelE
Thanks for all of the great information. I am going to have a look at all of the Kibri offerings and then the rest of the info. Much appreciated!
chb2488
For detailing there‘s Swiss Model Rail https://www.swissmodelrail.ch/shop/index.php?page=index& I recently came across Laser Creation (from MOB Fan‘s post), if I had the necessary space I would buy a model of Zweisimmen just for the sake of it. They also supply „proper“ SBB station buildings, which is pretty rare.

warbonnetuk
Faller have recently re-released the old HO Pola kit of a Engadine style RhB station, this time in the guise of Ardez. I used an old Pola version on Santa Maria and it goes together very easily. https://www.faller.de/gb/en/Products/Product-archive/Track-HO/Railway-stations-Railway-buildings/Railway-stations/Ardez-Station-sid3898.html Also just released is a RhB electrical switch gear tower, one of which I now have one to add to Santa Maria. https://www.faller.de/gb/en/Products/Track-gauges/H0-selection/Railway-stations-railway-buildings/Signal-towers-railway-lodges/pid.14.17.89/agid.1127.1200.1226/atid.28365/ecm.at/Ardez-Switchgear-house.html An also building a Kibri #48815 Haus Parsenn in Davos chalet which is a good match to more modern Swiss houses Dan
RMweb Premium Chamby Posted September 11, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 11, 2020 Check out www.laser-creation.net Stunning laser-cut buildings that are an absolute joy to build. Not cheap, but superb quality. Here's one I'm currently building, roof-end fascias and downpipes still required to complete:
