St. Simon
Hi, I'm looking to have some files lineside details 3D printed for the new layout, and I need recommendations on places to go to get them printed. I usually go to Shapeways, however, for the number I need, the cost is slightly too high (although not as high as I thought it would be initially). I have the .stl files already to be printed, they are designed for Shapeway's fine detail plastic, and have passed their initial automatic printability checks. Can anyone recommend somewhere to go to get the files printed in high quality, but lower cost them Shapeways? What I need printing is at the bottom of this post over on my layout thread: My initial thought was someone like ModelU, but they seem to have taken any mention of commissions off their webpage? I would have brought a 3D printer to do it myself (some of you would have spotted my enquiring in another thread a couple of weeks back), but the logistics was a problem. Penrhos1920
Is there anyone with a good size printer that can print it whole OO coach body please?
RMweb Premium njee20 Posted September 10, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 10, 2020 That’s very big for the home printer market. There’s a few new printers coming onto the market in the next couple of months, but even they won’t fit with a OO gauge coach body.
