N Gauge Vintage Swiss Post Bus?

Hello,

 

is anyone aware of any manufacturer who produces an N Gauge/scale Swiss post bus? I’m particularly after one of the vintage style buses rather than the more modern versions Busch do.

Lemke miNis make (or made) a Mercedes O3500 PTT bus.

 

I don’t have one of that model, but what I do have from miNis is pretty good. There’s a limited selection available in the UK from Gaugemaster, but I resorted to eBay and a German seller for my Slightly more modern PTT bus.

It all depends on what you consider vintage, but as far as I'm aware there are no Saurer busses in N gauge. The easiest thing would be to get hold of some Wiking Mercedes O 305 and repaint them into PTT livery. Come to think of it the once ubiquitous O 405 have now been with us for almost 40 years too.

The Lemke MB O3500 is pure fiction, however the VW T2 and MAN SUe did exist in small numbers. I don't know if the MOWAGs from SNS are still available but those would really set the scene!
