Graham Radish
I will try and word this best i can lol, Concerning the Lok programmer from ESU, now when you buy a factory preinstalled v5 decoder setting Cv8 to 8 resets it to default settings, the question is - can you make you own default settings with the programmer ie: CV8=8 loads your personal settings and override the factory one? Cheers folks.
dasatcopthorne
I don't think so. I feel that would be built into the chip's own programming. Dave.

RMweb Premium Dominion Posted September 18, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 18, 2020 I think there is a dialogue box that does allow you to do exactly that when you load changes onto the chip. If you use it I suggest you do 2 other things. Save a version that you know works before you change defaults, perhaps the factory default, so you can overwrite your new planned default with the original default if anything goes wrong. Second, istr that the button remains clicked so there is a risk of doing the same thing next time without intending to, so I suggest unclicking it explicitly once you are done. Good luck !
Locoman58
Yes I can confirm that, there is a checkbox for it that you can click when writing the data. Your own values are then the new default values. 1
