RMweb Gold Gilbert Posted September 22, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted September 22, 2020 (edited) Have you ever wondered what goes on a Missenden Railway Modellers’ Weekend or even been tempted to book a place? The current situation with Covid 19 means that the Summer and now the Autumn gatherings have been cancelled. The organisers have therefore decided to provide a virtual Missenden experience drawing on the resources and expertise normally only available at Missenden. This means that anyone who is interested can access all the on-line content on 17th and 18th October at no charge. The first online offering will include a modelling resource of tips and tricks that we have collected over the years with many contributions from current and former tutors. Much of the Missenden experience is interacting with other modellers, sharing ideas and solutions and finding new, and sometimes better, ways of resolving the difficulties that we all face. For a few years, we published a manual of such tips and ideas and this will now be available on the website. We are also planning to extend and improve this facility. In addition, there will be new content provided by current tutors and a number of our regular attendees. There will also be a number of live sessions which require booking. The main Missenden Home Page is here: https://www.missendenrailwaymodellers.org.uk/ and the event page is here: https://www.missendenrailwaymodellers.org.uk/index.php/autumn-weekend-2020-online-event/ Chris Hopper Edited February 13, 2021 by Gilbert 6 2

RMweb Gold ianLMS Posted October 18, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 18, 2020 I attended the DCC, loco building and weathering sessions and was extremely pleased with how they were presented, informative and and hosted by exceptional modellers who took the time to explain things in an easy to understand format. It was very friendly and professional and cant wait to get on one of their weekends if the current situation improves. Well done everyone who put this together and thank you! RMweb Gold Gilbert Posted February 13, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted February 13, 2021 (edited) Zoom sessions have limited numbers and are filling up surprisingly quickly - they will be recorded and linked on the website if you miss out on the live session.
