ellocoloco
Hi, I am currently repainting an old Triang/Hornby Type 37 - probably R751 - and need to fill in the front number plate as the later locomotives didn't carry route numbers. Can any of you please help with; A: What is the correct name for the part I am looking for? B: Who I might try to get the part from (if its available)? Thank you. RMweb Premium Northmoor Posted September 25, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 25, 2020 That's the Headcode Box. There are etched brass or whitemetal parts for sale to fit (I can't think of manufacturers' names though, Craftsman used to make them but they've long ceased). You can fill it in with plastic card cut to shape and a little filler to hide the joint. For the marker lights I think Replica supply rub-down transfers, obviously these are 2D rather than the 3D of the brass/whitemetal parts. You've reminded me I have about 10 Triang/Hornby 37s to get on with......
