Due for release next month is the latest version of our UK-style Track Cleaning Wagon in OO Scale. This version features the Railfreight livery.

 

This is the evergreen PIKO Track Cleaning vehicle with a modern British twist. Fitted with NEM tension lock couplings, this vehicle is hauled around your layout and dust is collected by the track cleaning pad mounted underneath the wagon.

This wagon is in no way prototypical but will be an essential part of keeping track clean. A replacement cleaning pad can be purchased under reference GM4930101.

Hi,

 

I asked for one of these for Christmas and Father Christmas obliged!  My problem is that there is too much friction between the pad and the rails and my loco's are "wheel spinning" .  I've tried tightening the screws but they do not seem to tighten beyond a certain point and there are no instructions other that how to order replacement parts.  Is there anything else I can do?

Although it looks to be of lesser quality than the brass CMX one that needs a weighty loco with a good haulage capacity to shift it like a Heljan 26/27/33

I'll try it behind my Hornby Star or Castle and see.  The smaller locos such as the Bachmann City class are just wheel spinning.
