BR Standard loco altered for filming?

It just seems strange to build an accurate replica of a Britannia and then disguise it. I wonder why they couldn't have based it on an actual French loco.

To most filmmakers, it is just a steam loco. They probably wouldn't appreciate the difference between a Schools & a rebuilt Scot.

Remember this is the franchise which depicted a TGV running wrong line through the Kent countryside with no OLE or 3rd rail, then went from open fields straight into the channel tunnel; no terminal, no yard.

I was reading the producers are looking for a bridge to blow up so I imagine this yoke will be on top or near it when it happens. Tom or Evan will no doubt escape by his fingertips whilst just about to be shoveled alive into the Firebox by the Arch Enemy.

Correct - they wanted to blow up one on a currently-disused line in Poland, there was a huge uproar about it a couple of months ago. Said bridge has since been given protected status...
