RMweb Gold TravisM Posted October 18, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 18, 2020 (edited) I’ve just seen on wnxx.com that Freightliner are having a new depot built at Ipswich. Is this for loco’s, moving away from the station, wagons or both? Edited October 18, 2020 by jools1959

Simon Bendall
It will replace the existing station stabling point, allowing an increased level of maintenance and removing all the conflicting moves across the GEML. Fuel will also come in by road I believe so will be the end of the Lindsey working.
PM47079
There will be a lathe. The covered accommodation for the locos has externally been completed, the wagon and lathe building is a skeleton at the moment. At the rate we get through fuel, that tanker is going to be busy. 1
