I didnt want to be the one that mentioned this! I hoped that the design might evolve away from them. I started a thread on it recently in 'Permanent way' seeking advice.  I've gone a bit further with it now, and for the benfit of the OP I would say that steam stock has the worst problems on curved points, 4-wheel bogies are easier. In the latest iteration though, there are 2 sets of these curved point combos and I cant quite see why the right hand one is needed. What is needed though is the new crossover that Mr Chimer has drawn in.
