It's come round again – our last issue of BRM for 2020, but by no means our least – we'd like to think you'll get lots of advice and ideas from it. Digital copies of the issue go on-sale tomorrow at pocketmags.com/BRM, and print copies are available from November 5, but in the meantime, to whet your appetite, let's look at what's inside...

A full episode of BRM TV, featuring 'Woodcroft' – Market Deeping MRC's repaired EM gauge layout, following its destruction by vandals. Plus, Howard Smith begins an 'aid to scratch-building' kit of a 7mm scale POA wagon, and Phil Parker weathers a Dapol N gauge Class 50.

Can I just say thanks to the team for the splendid  job made of presenting Sheep Dip, on my behalf, this month.

It really does look lovely. Thank you.

Rob.

Following a tip-off from a well-informed source, I looked first for Mr. York’s latest designs.  There, on page 76, the plan I sought.  Perhaps it’s that British sense of humour, but the English will persist in very clearly putting a label marking the “Secret Bunker” on their military plans, just to make sure everyone knows.  Will they ever learn?

Hat (fedora), trench coat (collars up), melts into the shadows...

There's a brown tourist sign for it at down on the main road too. I'll store this useful instance up for when I next miss off the label for a building on a plan. It was a secret bunker. :biggrin_mini2:

In the Letters Section on page 43,  re. Bob Willis' query on Telegraph pole insulators, and Tony Wrights reply, there's plenty of data available for a proper article on Telegraph poles, especially in Peter Kay's reprint of 'Railway Signalling and Communications ....' (ISBN 1 899890 24 6), which presumably BRM has on it's Library Resource Bookshelves, somewhere :jester:

Not knowing where this should be posted, but this should explain the brackets - an extract from the above book :
