Put it in a display case and admire it... That`s a good idea....I`m still quite fond of the old girl. It does`nt bother me too much but I`m wondering whether the O Gauge version will still have the OO version inaccurate bogie frames ( based on the earlier preserved example with shorter axle box springs)

RMweb Premium J. S. Bach Posted January 3, 2022 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 3, 2022 I have one on pre-order because it reminds me of my favorite interurban; the J.G. Brill "bullet" built for the Philadelphia & Western:
RMweb Gold Adrian Stevenson Posted September 4, 2022 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted September 4, 2022 An update on these from Guildex today. Sound fitted ones might be out at Xmas. Delayed due to a lack of decoders and sorting out the running lights. They certainly look very nice. Body is easy to remove to add figures to the interior. The valences can be removed to expose the bogies and the oil lamp ( not shown here) can also be moved. Cheers, Ade. 7
GNR Dave
The patterned fabric effect on the seats is a nice touch. Almost a shame to cover it with people.

neal
In some of the on line stores now, anyone got their hands on one yet? Rails hadn’t had stocks into their Chesterfield Rd store yesterday when I popped in. N Edited February 26, 2023 by neal
RMweb Gold ROSSPOP Posted February 26, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 26, 2023 (edited) Yep! Mine arrived today from ROSh Brilliant 7mm version. Runs smooth as silk from the box. Excellent rendition of upholstered seating and prism free glazing. I've got No 10 with Gwr roundel but has 1940's buffer steps and below window handrail ( not sure about that) BUT WON'T detract from a very very good Dapol product. Being super super picky ,the bogie side mouldings are a little shallow for me like the 4mm version. Breaking News! Just grabbed a photo from Ebay... of Railcar No 10 in Dapol`s exact livery date 1940so ignore the above comment.... RMweb Gold ROSSPOP Posted February 27, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 27, 2023 Sorry for the poor quality pics..... I`m pleased that my Gataneal 7mm kit hold up well next to Dapol`s 7mm version. I built mine back in 2015 , so glad that Dapol agree with my roof livery.......😎 So now I have No 12 in 1930`s livery and Dapol`s No 10 in 1940 livery. Dapol`s has opening sliding luggage doors which are a little stiff at first and I managed to knock out a glazing panel whilst playing. Dapol`s is an ultra smooth runner.... mine is a little bit of a growler in one direction.... I`m very pleased with the Dapol product
neal
Controversial I know, but a return to polystyrene packaging is welcome in this instance. In terms of net CO2, think about the impact of damaged/faulty returns. Discuss…. N
RMweb Gold Godfrey Glyn Posted March 2, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted March 2, 2023 Picked up mine from Paul at Alton yesterday, I think it's a wonderful model. He has a GWR liveried example in stock which looks equally beautiful. Well done Dapol!
