I’ve looked on Flickr and there’s loads of 4 and 8 of them preserved.  There is  one of 44001 heading through Newport station towards Ebbw Junction, it might have been a one off but it goes to show they did travel further west than Seven Tunnel Junction.  I’m also sure one arrived at Bristol Temple Meads on a parcel train.

One of the Medway Cement Works? The wagons used for this traffic (initially 'flat-bottom' minerals, then HAAs) would bring coal from the north, then have a short empty run to one of the Kent pits, to reload with coking coal to take back to the north.
