robmcg
I just bought a lovely model Bachmann 9F 92192 pristine 32-851 with a BR1C tender, instead of the usual and correct BR1F. Lower price, and all that. Foolishly I imagined there were other pristine 9F models with the BR1F but it appears not, although the 5MT Standard 73110 is described as being with a BR1F it doesn' t look the same, and is lined. Is it easy to remove Bachmann lining? If so,how best? Two pics to rather approximately show any differences.. Any ideas or guidance much appreciated. I have a 73110 but would not want to change its tender for the 9F's unlined BR1C unless I knew how to remove the lining from its tender as an option to provide the new 9F with a correct tender. robmcg
Thankyou sandwich station, a very interesting pdf and certainly an interesting option! It may be that the adaptation of a Golden Arrow BR1F body to the existing Bachmann BR1C chassis and transfer of ladders etc is do-able, and the colour, texture and emblem are also good, it would make a possible project. I think in the meantime I might just keep my eyes open for a 32-851 92192 for spares or repair or better still tender only. Thanks again.
