Morning Rob.

That really does look the part. I am very much a fan of these little corrugated sheds. They have a lot of character, especially when so well modelled.

As you suggest, small bites......

Rob.

I seem to have bought another relic of a pannier. It's one of the older Bachmann versions, but having had a good look at it, no monkey metal malaise, no droopy conrods or abstract quartering. It runs well too, despite being over 15 years old. I won't feel so bad if I make a pig's ear of backdating it.

Wot? No crew, lamps, fire irons or dirt? The experimental sheep have clearly died of embarrassment...

I take it some dodgy types nicked the lead flashing from round the chimney?

Jay

Nope, I had one of those wallet tidying moments and chucked out my till receipt flashing materials.

Got some now thanks to the afternoon out.

A vast improvement on the original.

I bet you could make contact with the International Space Station using that Peco 'chimney'.

I think you could probably shoot the ISS down with that thing....

I found this on our way home. It was quickly pointed out that even if I could uproot it, there's no way it would fit in the boot of the Herald.

Foiled again.

Put it on ebay, buyer collects.

That's not a bad idea.

BTW, if you're interested, I'll throw in a fogman's hut for free...

Testing their reaction to a fresh out of the box pannier.

As you can see, the results were not encouraging.

I'd be careful there Mr Wolf. There are some inhabitants of this realm who would class that as inhumane treatment and im not just talking about the sheep.

We don't want you being tried for war crimes at the Hague do we. Imagine the headlines. Wolf caught abusing panniers.Sheep to receive cowselling at taxpayers expense. Wolf says it was an honest mistake as they were green and he's colorblind. Sheep spotted on far side of the moon.

And this is why a period correct roof rack is a must-have on any classic vehicle that also happens to be a daily driver…
