MrWolf
We are now at the model railway equivalent to being stuck between a rock and a hard place. The ballast glue has arrived. I do have a volunteer to help with that lovely task however. But first, I could do with getting the cattle dock stuck down, for the same reason that the platform is stuck down. The railings and gates look like they have the potential to be a PITA. The point rodding has to go down and look right. Definitely a PITA. The bodgers bench definitely has an ominous look . Experimental sheep look easier to paint now! Edited August 23, 2022 by MrWolf Replaced picture 5

MrWolf
Where do I need to start with the point rodding? That would be the signal box. I need to position it properly to get the rodding run right from the lead off board to the loop point nearest the level crossing and ensure that the bottom of the stairs is far enough away from the bottom of the platform ramp to not look crammed in. Of course it helps if the balcony and steps are attached to the aforementioned signal box. A job I have always found tedious since the days when the only plastic kit was the Airfix Midland Railway one. Note that the cabin stove has come adrift. The adhesive I used was evidently sub optimal / s**te. Edited August 23, 2022 by MrWolf 9

MrWolf
Amid a sea of solvent, the signal box steps are finally assembled. You WILL stick and stay in line! Edited August 23, 2022 by MrWolf Replaced picture 13
MrWolf
One of the signal box details that I have been putting off is the name board. I think that it will pass muster once painted! Maybe. Edited August 23, 2022 by MrWolf Replaced picture 10
MrWolf
I've since straightened up the letters properly with a small screwdriver before the solvent hardens. They looked rough when I zoomed in on the picture!
