Crisis Rail
I've always liked the livery - COLAS 60021 a renumber and weather - with time constraints motivation and a bit of bipolar I’ve decided on remodelling and bringing former Scottish layout Caerbannog up into today. The loss of Transport Models closing for good and the backup of no exhibitions for sourcing materials isn’t helping. I have to make do with scraps from the bitsbox. Ironically might have a look at it today with a few changes in mind. Cheers. Ian.
RMweb Premium Banger Blue Posted January 9, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 9, 2021 COLAS 60021 on a fuelling point: June 2015 - 60021 was low on fuel at Colnbrook so ran up to Reading TCD for a pit stop. Certainly made a nice change from the usual fare of DMUs! The following photo was sent to me by a mate, who just happened to be on a passing train!

Did well to maintain correct spacing. Please forgive the thread hijack, but what is the box conecting your controller to the layout? Thanks John
Crisis Rail
Testing rail bonding to MDF. It's a junction box from a house pendant lights wiring kit - I didn't need them when I fitted the lights. Useful and they just keep things tidy I suppose with a closing lid. Crisis Rail
The modernisation continues bringing the location into the present - structures unfinished as yet. These photos are handy as it shows that in real life you can have clean locos and almost pristine depots etc without the need for lots of grot or weathering.
