RMweb Gold Neil P Posted December 1, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 1, 2020 This fell off my class 66 last night. Any idea what it is? I've tried looking at pictures and can't work out where it goes. (Damn, these models are fragile!) Thanks, Neil
rob D2
I’ve looked extensively at my 66 and can’t see anything like that. looks like the optional extra brake piece off a Bachmann 47 ? You got any of those ?
Deviousweegee
I had one fall off mine literally two days ago, it goes on top of the rear of a bogie (pictured) Sorry if unclear, can take other picture when home 1
Mark Saunders
Looks like the parking brake actuator and should be on the bogie to the the left of the battery box/BIS.

martin_l_jones
Really good picture above illustrates it on the prototype, on the model it sits in a hole in the rear cross section of the bogie, there should be a hole which a pin sits into, it normally breaks off if the actuator falls off. Make sure you put it on the right end with the chain link, see the picture of model below. I always end up drilling a hole and putting a 1mm pin into the actuator and re-drill the hole in the bogie. So it sits correctly. Edited December 3, 2020 by martin_l_jones
