dph1883
One of the coupling rods on my Hornby Class 08 (R2417) has snapped, the part number is X9369. The problem I'm facing is that Hornby don't have any in stock, nor do Peter's Spares, who have had them on order since 2016! I don't know where to look next, can anyone offer any advice? Pete the Elaner
Not an easy answer, but can these be etched? Would they be strong enough? If so, you may be able to improve on the originals.

Pete the Elaner
2 minutes ago, Pannier Tank said: http://www.brassmasters.co.uk/08_rods.htm maybe worth a look? That answers my question. They can be etched & even better, someone has already done it. They look good too
RMweb Premium PMP Posted December 4, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted December 4, 2020 How to fit the Brassmasters rods to an 08 from Bachmann https://albionyard.net/2012/03/04/trinity-08-brassmaster-rods/ And this may help in dismantling the Hornby 08 and rods, the two manufacturers having a similar approach. https://albionyard.net/2016/04/12/Hornby-super-eight/

dph1883
Thanks for the replies, the excellent suggestions, unfortunately, are way above my modelling skills. Think I'll keep my eye on ebay to see if anything crops up.
