RMweb Gold Graham_Muz Posted December 10, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 10, 2020 I might have just ‘accidentally’ obtained a new domain name www.Westhillroad.co.uk there might be a new little project in the pipeline... 4

RMweb Gold Graham_Muz Posted January 17, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted January 17, 2021 (edited) A quick bit of 3D visualisation this morning for the 4ft x 18 inches www.Westhillroad.co.uk the halt platform between the signals will be a typical SR concrete type... Valley and stream in front left hand corner. Road and level crossing on right hand side. Small station building to go behind the signal cabin. Smaller buildings to the rear for perspective and a range trees sizes to break the views and hide track exits None of this computer 3D graphics malarkey...just pencil on plywood . more to come... woodenhead
What this will need are some good LSWR buildings to plonk onto it, you need to have a word in your boss's earhole.

Sorry but it’s getting an Exmouth Junction works concrete halt (I am using a Kernow LSWR ground frame hut as it’s signal and crossing keepers hut)
Rivercider
After my great great grandmother was widowed when her husband, a ganger, was knocked down by a train she was given the crossing keepers job at Gosford Gates, she was there for over 20 years. I was born within sight of Exmouth Junction, and my local station Polsloe Bridge Halt was a product of the concrete works, so this project will be of interest to me, cheers 2

RMweb Gold Graham_Muz Posted August 17, 2021 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 17, 2021 A little progress has been made here and there and both my blog and this thread should hopefully see an update in the next few weeks. I thank you ever so much for the continued interest.

RMweb Gold SouthernRegionSteam Posted August 17, 2021 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 17, 2021 Ooh I missed this one; right up my alley, and something I've always wanted to build - a small backwater Southern Railway halt. Indeed, my latest project is reverting back to a similar idea... Anyway, I'm pleased that you're resisting the temptation to fill it with buildings; I think the open nature will pay dividends as far as atmosphere is concerned. Can't wait to see future updates! 2 1

woodenhead
If you'd had that word in your bosses ear, most of the buildings required for this model would already be past CAD. Or is he pressing on with Col Stephens buildings?

RMweb Premium Tim Dubya Posted October 23, 2021 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 23, 2021 Just thinking out loud.... but would you governor be interested in commissioning a southern concrete halt and shelter thingy out of that resin or that whathaveyou stuff? Could be sectional to form a tiddler or a long one

Luckily your 3d CAD work is better than your sketching But there is a hint of Paul Lunn type layout planning there. 1
