Quarryscapes
I have a set of cast axleboxes to clean up and in order to do so I need to be able to clean out a deep 0.5mm (ish) slot in them that will slide on brass W Irons. I remember the 2mm Scale Association selling such files for opening flangeways in pointwork, but I'm not a member any more. Can anyone suggest a source? (or even a name, I'm sure they were a specific type of file)

JeffP
I still have a genuine "Diamondeb" nail file given to me by my grandmother. It's around 0.75 mm thick and ideal for things like LNER/BR slidebars and what you mention. eBay have them, search Diamondeb or Diamond Deb.
