What is it used for nowadays?

Still used to control what’s left of the yard, plenty of vehicles coming and going from the site. May not last much longer as have been told the yard is to be cleared, lifted and sold with the DBS shed going too.

Are you sure it is not Tees yard?

Sorry, yes Tees Yard. It’s one hell of a building and looks in very good condition. Plenty of the orange brigade hanging around too. The one thing that court me out looking at the yard was the number of National Power livery wagon there are still. Sad to see the place now compared to what it was like thirty+ yrs agp.

Excellent pictures Ian,, there was still quite a lot of it active back then , no1 down goods and most of the down yard is missing but at least the shed was still open

The signalling inspector there was Derek Westhope , not sure if he's retired now

Russ, here are the Boom Gates once at Melton Lane near Hull. If you decide to model them I have dimensioned drawings that I made when I was the signalman there.
