Advice request on how to remove bogies from Hornby super detail HST power cars

Hi, I have a GWR super detail HST power car in which the wires to one of the bogie pickups have become detached. I've managed to resolder them with the bogie in situ but frankly it was a bit hair-raising and would be better undertaken with the bogie removed. Does anyone have any advice or tips on the best way to do this? From observation and the Service Sheet onlineit looks like the top of the cardan shaft/worm housing is clipped in place as is the bogie frame below but advice on how best to lever off and in what order would be gratefully received.

To get the retainer off the gear tower, use a small screwdriver to prise it from the clips, the bogie should drop out. The bogie is also a clip fit, but before removing the bogie frame put the retainer back on (the gear housing is in two parts).
