RMweb Gold Vistisen Posted December 16, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 16, 2020 (edited) I have just received a mail from Hornby telling me that they are not accepting orders because of BREXIT until after the new year. I live in Denmark and am wondering whether it is only people with non British addresses who have got them? Especially as three hours later I got an mail telling me new stuff was arriving with shop now links. Mixed messages or what! Georgeconna
Don't panic, Sensible Decision and a lot of companies will be doing the same.
RMweb Gold stovepipe Posted December 16, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 16, 2020 This was discussed here earlier, to some extent. AFAIK everyone who they have an email address for has been contacted. They don't necessarily know where everyone lives however.
RMweb Gold teaky Posted December 16, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 16, 2020 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55329570 If you are unable to access the link above then there will be something on Hornby's Twitter feed because it looks like that is the source for the BBC article. Not sure about Denmark, but here, I think people have had enough and just want to shutdown for christmas. Hornbys headline is just that, an attempt at grabbing headline space in the news. I seriously doubt they will stop shipping overseas, except over christmas, which many businesses will do annually anyway. Austerity, Brexit, Covid or whatever the next letter “D” in the alphabet brings with it has little really to do with it.

Administrators Phil Parker Posted December 16, 2020 Administrators Share Posted December 16, 2020 We aren't taking Brexit arguments on here. Hornby aren't the only ones waiting for clarification before sending to the EU. Thread locked.
