An ex-Lima Deltic with TTS for just under £100 isn't that bad.

I think I'd get the green one...

Is the ex-Tri-ang cattle wagon, which first appeared in 1956, the oldest British railway model still in production? I can't think of any which predate it.

More likely its the mid-70s "Silver Seal" upgraded cattle wagon.

the silver jubilee 47 tho

47583's livery adornment was for the wedding of Prince Charles (not Prince John as stated by Simon Kohler in the video!) and Lady Diana Spencer. The blue and red lines in the large BR logo were very short lived. They were applied to the existing LL livery in late July 1981 and removed that October.

The two Silver Jubilee 47s were 47163 and 47164, which were in BR blue with large bodyside Union Jack. Bachmann and Lima both produced that livery.

163 met an untimely end if i remember correctly still wearing its bodyside union jacks.

The A H BETTS number 45 has been done before by Hornby using a detailed wagon. I normally buy everything SECR but will give this a miss.

Edit: and will also give the Ex-'Thomas' E2 in SECR lined green (with H class number!) a miss too.

47163 is still with us as 47787. Had a major engine failure about 10 years on a tour to Paignton. Its in the queue to return at some point I believe. 164 is still with us too, although as a 57.

Ill probably get at least one of the 37s and 47s. Normally i go for BR Green or blue but i do like some of the modern liveries such as the colas and europhenix liveries.

Scotrail 47 with TTS looks good as well.

Deltic with sound seems interesting hopefully it will be decent. Green for me i think

Shame they didnt do TTS with the network rail bubble car

Thanks, i knew it looked wrecked and burned in a crash but didn't realise it was rebuilt, let alone still around!

The cattle wagon was also used as a SR Sheep Wagon (Return to Lewes), a Harvey’s of Louth, Lincolnshire private owner wagon a GWR cattle wagon, a LMS cattle wagon,  and appeared in the Thomas and Friends range in at least two liveries....

The original models had a die cast chassis with open axle boxes.

The original Mk2b couplings were replaced by the new Mk3 Tension Lock couplings in 1959.

The die cast chassis was replaced by a plastic chassis with plastic wheels on steel pin point axles from 1963.

The Silver Seal version of the Sheep Wagon still used basically the 1963 chassis...

The later chassis has the coupling loop moulded as a part of the chassis ...

Thomas versions...

The new Hornby Railroad version, if this illustration is not actually a retouched version of the above, still has integrated coupling loops, and the “low profile” coupling hooks, which have not been used for a good few years now I think...

Well, it would be unrealistic with any other number!

Over the past few years it's been released in GWR livery with several running numbers. 105 (R1109), 107 (R1138), 597 (R1222), and others. A release with the correct number is a rare thing nowadays.
